Sharing the practice of yoga is vast and complex which is quite difficult to do in large groups of people. Private yoga classes offer an opportunity for the instructor to build techniques and practices that can transform the body and mind. Melissa has been teaching private yoga classes for over 10 years and has worked with many clients for several years straight (her longest is 7 yrs). Yoga encompasses tools that help release stress, enhance the body and mind connection, and build strength.
One of our goals at I AM Yoga is to build practices that enhance wellbeing for a lifetime. Yoga is a very adaptable practice that can be done with any body. Working one-on-one with clients provides the opportunity to understand weak spots and areas of the body that are limited and expand on those to create a healthier and more pleasant experience.
Yoga involves some philosophical aspects that create opportunities to self-reflect and increase self-awareness. Using the body and the mind together creates a pathway back to the self. In private classes, this becomes a very customized journey together.
